Plus X has appointed Justin Halewood to the role of Locations Business Development Director to support its plan to expand the portfolio of innovation hubs to 25 over the next five years.
Halewood joins Plus X from CBRE’s co-working business Hana, which recently merged with US operator Industrious, where he was Senior Director of Investment for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and led the company’s expansion strategy in EMEA. During his time at Hana, Justin Halewood managed the selection and delivery of new coworking sites, partnering with landlords and owners seeking to share in the success of their centres.
Prior to Hana, he led the EMEA real estate and delivery team at Red Hat and spent six years at Standard Chartered, where he was responsible for the Bank’s real estate portfolio in Europe and America.
In his new role, Justin will work closely with Paul Rostas, Plus X Co-Founder and Co-CEO, and Olga Hopton, Plus X Expansion Director in the acquisition of sites and entering into management agreements with landlords of sites in major regional towns and cities across the UK.
He will also be working closely with Savills following their appointment to support the expansion plans in the UK.
Justin Halewood, Locations Business Development Director, Plus X said:
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Plus X team, the innovation they facilitate is truly unique to the UK and has real transformational power.
“Plus X has its members at the heart of everything they do; each new innovation hub gives the next generation of startups, scaleups, and corporates the support and facilities they need to prosper and collaborate.
“I’m looking forward to working with Mat, Paul, and Olga to expand the offer and deliver further local and global impact.”
